What is OpenSauce?

OpenSauce is a comprehensive platform that allows developers to:

• Store and manage recipes with detailed metadata
• Share recipes with the community
• Integrate recipe data into applications via a powerful REST API
• Moderate content with built-in approval workflows

Platform Overview

The OpenSauce platform consists of three main components:

1. API (opensauce-api) - The backend service powering everything
2. Dashboard (opensauce-dash) - Manage your account, API keys, and recipes
3. Website (opensauce-web) - Browse and discover recipes

All three are built with modern technologies:

• Runtime: Bun
• Framework: Astro (for frontend)
• Backend: Hono
• Database: Cloudflare D1
• Authentication: GitHub OAuth with JWT
• Validation: Zod

Getting Started

To start using OpenSauce:

1. Sign up for an account
2. Get an API key from the dashboard
3. Browse the documentation to learn how to use the API
